Let’s play a game! I say a word and you tell me what comes to your mind… the word is CAPPADOCIA!
The first thing that you thought of was probably the beautiful hotel Sultan Cave Suites, right?
This hotel that we personally like to call our home away from home is the perfect place to stay if you want to visit the town of Göreme in the Cappadocia region.
Located in the old part of town, the hotel is only a five-minute walk from the town centre.

Like we said before, the hotel itself is a postcard. All the rooms are beautifully decorated portraying the history of the area. There is a total of 30 rooms, and three types of accommodation: junior suites for 85 EUR per night, suites for 100 EUR and king suites for 140 EUR . We stayed in the normal suite, which is perfect for two people that still like to have some space to move around.

Every morning you can choose between going to the main terrace to watch the balloons rise over the valley or you can enjoy them from the comfort of your own terrace! The Insta famous terrace offers arguably the best view in town.
Please bear in mind that in order to enjoy the iconic terrace, the balloons and the lovely Izmir in the morning, you need to be a guest. Other wise, you won’t be allowed in until after 12pm when the terrace opens for the public.
Once all the balloon frenzy is over, enjoy a wonderful organic breakfast that offers from homemade local dishes to fresh bread, fruits and vegetables, and all the cheese in the world!
What we personally enjoyed the most about staying at Sultan Cave Suites is the fact that it didn’t feel we were in a hotel. The team will make sure you feel at home from the beginning to the end of your stay. They always have something special to offer, you just need to check in and relax and they will take care of booking your balloon flights, excursions and tours.
Did you know that you can even order a traditional picnic set at reception if you are feeling like tea in the middle of the desert? Yes, weather you want to relax, watch the balloons or do a photo shoot, just choose a spot and the team will sort the rest for you.
